Our Work
The Pathways Mentoring Program
The Pathways Mentoring Program is a partnership with Recovery Advocates in Livingston (RAIL), Life Relaunch, Love INC., and Thrive Coaching & Consulting. It is designed to lift people up by walking alongside them and giving them the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
In Livingston County, countless individuals bear the heavy burden of shame and stigma that often accompanies a past incarceration. The challenges they face in reintegrating into society can be daunting, but Second Chance Support Network (SCSN) is dedicated to turning their lives around.
At Second Chance Support Network, our mission is crystal clear: we exist to serve the men and women who have been released from jail or prison. We are committed to supporting, inspiring, and providing direction to these individuals through Christ-centered mentoring programs. Our aim is to offer them a genuine opportunity for transformation, allowing them to regain their dignity and become productive members of our community.

SCSN proudly stands as the sole organization in our county, offering the vital programs and services required to help returning citizens successfully reintegrate into society. Our mentoring programs are at the forefront of this effort, as they are one of the most proven methods for reducing recidivism rates in our community.

It costs approximately $3,090 each year to provide comprehensive support to just one mentee. We are unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that every man and woman returning to the community has access to a high-quality mentor upon reentry. Achieving this vision necessitates financial support for mentor training and outreach to identify deserving individuals.

Over the years, SCSN has made a profound impact on the lives of over 500 deserving citizens. Through our Pathways Mentorship Program and other initiatives, we've matched these individuals with dedicated mentors who offer crucial support and encouragement. Recent surveys have shown significant reductions in recidivism rates among those who have received support from programs like ours upon reentry.
